Chapter 2
"I can't take your annoying jealousy anymore. This
is goodbye!" screamed Sarah.
Serena could not believed what was happening!
She could not have imagined this being done to Lucifer.
He was one of the strongest among her friends years
ago but used it for good. Oh, how the mighty had
fallen. She felt a pang of pity for this man. No! He
got what he deserved after what had done to her
years before. Serena chuckled softly and thought
about a superstition, what goes around, comes around.
Lucifer swore and kicked at a worn rubbish bin
that was found near the lamp post. His hand ruffled
his now messy hair. Serena thought he looked, handsome.
What am I thinking! She scolded herself. Lucifer's
harsh voice brought her back to reality.
"What are you standing there staring at me like that?
You think this is funny and that I deserved this!" he
roared. "And missy, you don't have the right to watch our
conversation like that. Have you no shame?"
Pulling on a cool front, Serena replied coldly.
"Don't tell me whether I had shame or not. If you
want to have a private spat, go do it privately. As you
well know it, Luce, this is a public place. Anyone
can watch and stare at you."
"Just watch your mouth, missy or I'll call the.. wait.
Did you just called me Luce? Only Serena called
me by that nickname." Lucifer stared at her from
head to foot.
"And you're not her," he said with a voice that hinted
surprise.
"Well, look again belly boy. People change, so do
I. Oh, well, look at the time. I need to be going now.
It's nice meeting you again after six years. I hope to
see you around another, well.. six years, with a kid
wrapped around your arms."
"Another one for your lame jokes, Ser?" he whispered.
Serena turned around to hide her flushed face. She
wanted to get away from this man as soon as possible.
She fastened her pace and slipped her hands in her coat
pocket. Unfortunately, Lucifer was following her and
was yelling to stop running away.
"Why are you running away from me, Ser? Are you
scared of me? You're such a timid mouse from the
time when you were eighteen," Lucifer added.
That is the last straw! "What do you want from me,"
Serena puffed out. "A cookie? To listen about you lecturing
me about my eighteenth ruined year? I'm sorry but I
don't want to listen about you sprawing about my fool's
crush anymore." Labels: Chapter 2
